GDS is using agile methodologies to rebuild government services to be ‘digital by default’. The Gov.uk Transition project involved moving 350+ individual department websites onto one platform, under a single domain at http://www.gov.uk.
As a content designer I worked with people across multiple government agencies to define user needs and content plans. I then redesigned and rewrote complex legacy content into plain English. This new content is evaluated using analytics and user testing and is continually refined..
